Somebody take away my craigslist privelages. Please. I can’t be trusted. Team Orange just makes bikes that appeal to my soul.... And my wallet. The siren song is getting harder and harder to resist.

I am. Should be all systems go next month. Just want to make sure I can max out 2019 and 2020 retirement accounts before a bike purchase.
Ooooooo r you could buy my roadster t o expedite the process. I hear the 3rd Miata is where you REALLY start to have fun

I like the Duke.
I remember several years ago, a co-worker tried to goad me into an RC8. If riding the bike didn’t kill me, the ergonomics might have, my aching back.

I can't argue that. Okay, gimme a few weeks.

Oh wow. Yeaaaaaaah I'm definitely not going to subscribe to them. I don't need that kind of reminder of how cool Toyotas and jeeps are

Me too. It feels super cramped for my frame though. Seems to be a common complaint for those 5'10 and up. Haven’t tried the RC390 yet, but the thimble gas tank isn’t my favorite feature...
RC8 huh. I hadn't heard of that before. Cool looking bike, but I'm not surprised on the ergos

That only makes it worse

The problem with being even relatively tall - most bikes I like seem to be made for those who are 5'6" 130. At least the cars I like generally fit my stature. Maybe a larger Duke would fit better? But would also cost a bit more. I remember fitting fine on an S1000R, even on an SV650. I am sure I could fit on a Hypermotard or Busa :)
RC8 was top of the line about 10 years ago, I remember sitting on one once, I forget where (maybe Auburn, as a used bike). Odd looking thing, probably a collectible in another 25 years.

Seriously just do it, you only live once. I’m considering buying a bicycle that costs that much.

What are you looking at? Mountain biking is a hobby I'd like to revisit. I stopped just before 29" wheels became a big thing which was what... Ten years ago?

Sorry!

Generally a really good trail bike cost minimum $3k and I’m looking at a carbon fiber specialized stump jumper...

Two wheels good.

Retirement accounts? Look at M r. R esponsible over here
Sadly I don’t think I have space for a third M iata, it would have to live outside and would probably mold just as bad as my red car :(

That RC390 is drop dead gorgeous, but I’m afraid I just can’t do sportbikes any more. The last time I sat on one, some expensive BMW at an airshow, I nearly threw out my back. I’d almost be tempted to just hang it on the wall since it’s a piece of art.

The Duke is a fantastic little bike! Really don't love the seat though. Also I feel like I've heard some bad things about reliability and KTM not honoring warranties.

I’ve heard those things too. Seems like one of the first things that’s recommended to boost reliability is... A tune. Ugh.
I’ll try a ninja 400 before making my final decision. That would be the smart choice for a cheap commuter , it just seems so uninteresting compared to the KTMs.
